Ride DCTA’s Free Shuttle to the 2018 Lewisville Western Days Festival

September 12, 2018
DCTA 2018 Lewisville Western Days Free Shuttle Service

DCTA will provide free shuttle service for the Lewisville Western Days Festival on Friday, September 28, and Saturday, September 29. The event will take place in Old Town Lewisville and have three festival stages featuring national and regional live music headliners. In addition to music, there will be many activities to partake in such as trick ropers, kid’s stick horse rodeo and more.

SHUTTLE SERVICE 101

DCTA’s free shuttle service is open to the general public and will operate Friday, September 28, from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. and Saturday, September 29, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. The shuttle will run every 20 minutes and will pick up passengers from the Old Town and Hebron Stations and drop them off near the festival grounds.

FESTIVAL TRIP PLANNING HELP

Getting to the Lewisville Western Days Festival using public transportation is simple and easy. Check out the information below to see which public transportation and fare options you can take to get to the festival:

Denton County Resident

If you live in Denton County and want to take our A-train and free shuttle service to get to the festival, you will need to have or purchase a local day pass (now just $3 with our Local Fare Promotion) and ride our A-train to the Old Town or Hebron station to get to the festival. If you’re a Lewisville resident, you can ride our free shuttle service to get to the festival.

Non-Denton County Resident

If you live outside of Denton County and are taking the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to get the festival, you will need to have or purchase a regional day pass to be able to ride the DART Green Line and our A-train (you can use our Local Fare Promotion deal for a cheaper regional day pass). Once you arrive at our Old Town or Hebron station, you can ride our free shuttle service to the festival.

During the festival, DCTA will operate regular A-train schedule (no Sunday service). Passengers should note that DCTA does have some A-train service modifications due to Positive Train Control (PTC) testing. As a reminder, parking is free at all A-train stations.
