Smart phone users simply open the GoRequest application, select an issue and tap “submit”. The GORequest app also offers the functionality for users to include a photo and identify the exact location of the submission.

Users can also submit requests via a desktop computer. Once submitted, the requests are sent directly to the agency staff member responsible for addressing the issue.

Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) ADA Non-Discrimination Policy

Purpose: Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) is committed to providing equitable, accessible, and inclusive transportation services to all individuals, regardless of disability status. This policy ensures compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and related regulations, affirming our dedication to non-discriminatory practices.

Policy Statement: DCTA does not discriminate against individuals with disabilities in the provision of transportation services, employment, or participation in programs and activities. We strive to offer accessible facilities, vehicles, and services that meet or exceed ADA standards, ensuring that all passengers can travel independently and safely.

Rights Under the ADA: Individuals with disabilities have the right to:

  • Equal access to public transportation services provided by DCTA.
  • Request reasonable modifications to accommodate their specific needs.
  • Utilize accessible features, including ramps, priority seating, and paratransit services.
  • File a complaint if they believe they have experienced discrimination under the ADA.

Reasonable Modifications: DCTA will make reasonable modifications to policies, practices, and procedures to ensure access for individuals with disabilities unless such modifications would fundamentally alter the nature of the service or create a direct safety risk. Requests for modifications can be made verbally or in writing.

Complaint Procedure: Individuals who believe they have been subjected to discrimination under the ADA may submit a complaint to DCTA. Complaints should include:

  • The complainant’s name and contact information.
  • A detailed description of the alleged discrimination, including dates and locations.
  • Any supporting documentation.

Complaints can be submitted via email, mail, or in person. DCTA will investigate and respond promptly, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
