Kristina Holcomb DCTA Deputy CEO

The Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) announces Kristina Holcomb as the agency’s new deputy CEO. Holcomb has been with DCTA since 2007 and previously served as DCTA’s Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development. In her new role, she will oversee the execution of the agency’s strategic initiatives including capital project planning and delivery while she continues collaborating with community leaders to advance mobility efforts in North Texas and leading DCTA’s regional transportation infrastructure planning, land-use strategy, as well as state and federal public policy.

“As our responsibilities grow in the region, we must be focused on stakeholder engagement and respond to the needs of our communities,” said Raymond Suarez, DCTA CEO. “With Kristina’s leadership and expertise in this new role, we will continue to strategically engage our member cities and regional and legislative stakeholders to ensure DCTA is a leader in advancing mobility solutions for North Texas.”

Holcomb leads DCTA’s partnerships with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) regarding regional transportation planning efforts and the agency’s involvement in NCTCOG’s 2045 Mobility Plan – a comprehensive, multimodal “blueprint” for transportation systems and services aimed at meeting the mobility needs of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area through the next 25 years.

She also serves as the board chair on the NCTCOG Surface Transportation Technical Committee (STTC) which reviews and provides recommendations regarding surface transportation planning and the funding of transportation improvements in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area.

Holcomb holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University.
