Lewisville, TX — The Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) is proud to announce an exciting new initiative in collaboration with Transit: the launch of the new Transit Royale — an upgrade to the current Transit aimed at enhancing the travel experience for our riders in our member cities of Denton, Highland Village, and Lewisville.
Elevating the Commuter Experience
One of the most exciting updates with Transit Royale is the seamless integration of DCTA’s on-demand micro transit, GoZone, directly into Transit. Riders can now view GoZone vehicle availability, plan trips, and navigate connections between fixed-route bus, A-train, and GoZone—all within a single app. This new visibility supports smarter, more flexible travel in all three member cities, helping users make real-time decisions and streamline transfers across services.
Transit Royale also includes a variety of innovative features designed to improve the efficiency and personalization of transit journeys:
- - Unlimited Schedules: Riders can now track any DCTA vehicle in real-time, streamlining travel planning and reducing wait times.
- - Expanded Trip Options: The revamped trip planner encourages exploration with the discovery of new routes, allowing riders to optimize their travel experiences.
- - Custom Themes and Icons: Users can personalize their app interface with exclusive themes and icons, creating a unique transit experience.
- - GO Celebrity Status: Engage with a fun leaderboard system, featuring customized emojis and nicknames to enhance the enjoyment of rides.
- - Additional Iconic Icons: Unlock more icons to mark favorite locations on the map, making navigation through the city intuitive and effortless.
With the rollout of Transit Royale, DCTA is dedicated to significantly enhancing the overall rider experience. Riders are encouraged to download Transit Royale today and start on a new, personalized journey.
