The Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) will provide complimentary shuttle service for the 30th Annual Highland Village Lions Club Balloon Festival that will be held at Unity Park from Friday, August 18, through Sunday, August 20. The event will have fun activities for the entire family including a kid zone, petting zoo, live bands, car show, food, arts and crafts booths, and the iconic hot air balloons.
DCTA shuttles will operate from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on both Friday, August 18, and Saturday, August 19. One bus will shuttle passengers from the Highland Village/Lewisville Lake Station to Briarhill Middle School every 20 minutes and another bus will shuttle passengers from Marcus High School to Briarhill Middle School every 10 minutes. DCTA will not operate shuttle service on Sunday, August 20.
Due to limited parking at the Highland Village/Lewisville Lake Station, festival attendees are encouraged to park at the Old Town or MedPark Stations and ride the A-train to the Highland Village/Lewisville Lake Station to catch the shuttle. The A-train will run its regular schedule during the festival. As a reminder, parking is free at all DCTA A-train stations.
REMINDER: DCTA does not operate A-train service on Sundays.
