Denton County Transportation Authority Announces 2016-2017 Holiday Service Schedule

The holiday season is here, and the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) is reminding passengers to review the agency’s 2016-2017 holiday service schedule in order to plan their travel plans in advance. Below are key modified holiday schedule dates that riders should keep in mind.

 

A-train and Connect Bus

  • Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24) – No Service
  • Day After Thanksgiving  (Friday, November 25) – Saturday Schedule
  • Christmas Eve (Saturday, December 24) – Regular Saturday Schedule
  • Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25) – No Service
  • Day After Christmas (Monday, December 26) – Regular Schedule
  • New Year's Eve (Saturday, December 31) – Regular Saturday Schedule
  • New Year's Day (Sunday, January 1) – No Service
  • Day After New Year’s (Monday, January 2) – Regular Schedule

Highland Village Connect Shuttle and Community On-Demand, Frisco Demand-Response, and Access Services

  • Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24) – No Service
  • Day After Thanksgiving  (Friday, November 25) – Regular Schedule
  • Christmas Eve (Saturday, December 24) – Access Service Only
  • Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25) – No Service
  • Day After Christmas (Monday, December 26) – Regular Schedule
  • New Year's Eve (Saturday, December 31) – Access Service Only
  • New Year's Day (Sunday, January 1) – No Service
  • Day After New Year’s (Monday, January 2) – Regular Schedule

 

North Texas Xpress (Route 64)

  • Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24) – No Service
  • Day After Thanksgiving  (Friday, November 25) – Regular Schedule
  • Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25) – No Service
  • Day After Christmas (Monday, December 26) – Regular Schedule
  • New Year's Day (Sunday, January 1) – No Service
  • Day After New Year’s  (Monday, January 2) – Regular Schedule

Euline Brock Downtown Denton Transit Center (DDTC)/Customer Service Call Center

  • Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 24): Closed
  • Day after Thanksgiving (Friday, November 25): 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve (Saturday, December 24) – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Christmas Day (Sunday, December 25) – Closed
  • Day After Christmas (Monday, December 26) – 5 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • New Year's Eve (Saturday, December 31) – 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • New Year's Day (Sunday, January 1) – Closed
  • Day After New Year’s (Monday, January 2) – 5 a.m. - 7 p.m.

 

The University of North Texas (UNT) and North Central Texas College (NCTC) Campus Shuttles will operate limited or no service as early as mid-December for the winter break. Be sure to check out both university websites for exact dates on when campus shuttles will operate service during the holiday break at www.transportation.unt.edu and www.nctc.edu/StudentServices/Shuttle_Schedule.aspx.
