Highland Village Community On-Demand

Community On-Demand provides service for passengers traveling within the designated Community On-Demand Zone, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. (excluding major holidays).

Passengers who ride Community On-Demand service can also connect to other DCTA services such as the A-train commuter rail and North Central Texas College (NCTC) Campus Shuttle.

Acceptable Fare

Community On-Demand service is open to any rider with exact cash fare of $3. Valid DCTA Local System fare, Regional fare and Access fare are also accepted.

Scheduling a Trip

Passengers can schedule their trip as little as two hours or as much as seven days in advance by calling DCTA Customer Service at 940.243.0077, Monday through Friday, from 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. (please note that trip requests made on weekends and holidays can be left on the customer service general mailbox). Requests for same-day service will be provided if capacity is available.

DCTA recommends that passengers scheduling medical trips call at least 24 hours in advance for best trip availability. If a vehicle is not available at the requested time, a customer service representative will offer the closest time available. Community On-Demand service will pick up passengers within 30 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time (15 minutes on either side of the scheduled pick-up time).

Subscription Trips

Subscription service is available to passengers with trips that meet the following requirements:

  • Reoccurring on the same day at the same time and location
  • Scheduled at least one time per week
  • Scheduled via subscription service for a minimum of 30 days
  • Scheduled via subscription service for a maximum of 90 days

Cancellation and No-Shows

Trips no longer required by a passenger, whether single trips or subscription service, must be canceled by 5 p.m. the day before the scheduled trip. To cancel a trip, passengers must call DCTA Customer Service at 940.243.0077.
