Plan your trip.
Use this website or DCTA’s Go Guide to determine the nearest Connect stops and departure times. Departure times can be estimated based on a stop’s proximity to the nearest “time point."
Be ready at your stop.
Arrive at your bus stop at least five minutes before your bus is scheduled to arrive and have your fare ready. Confirm that your route serves that stop by looking for the route number on the bus stop signage. Prior to boarding the bus, check the route number and destination displayed above the driver’s windshield.
Get on your bus.
Allow other passengers to get off the bus before boarding. Board through the front of the bus and insert your exact fare into the farebox or show your pass to the driver. Choose any available seat. Seats near the front door are reserved for elderly and mobility-impaired passengers. Strollers, carts and other small items that will not block the aisle are allowed on board. Drivers will assist those passengers with the lift operation to ensure safe boarding.
Get off at your stop.
About one block from your stop, signal the driver to stop by pulling the “stop request cord,” above the passenger seats along the windows of the bus. If you are not sure where to board the bus for your return trip, please ask the driver. Connect service to destinations located inside the On-Demand service area is by rider request only. Please notify the driver of your desired stop when you board the bus.
Transfer to another route or service.
Transfers between routes may be made throughout the Connect system; please refer to each Connect service map to identify the best transfer locations. Service between Denton Connect and Lewisville Connect is available via the A-train, the Station Shuttle and the NCTC Shuttle. Transfer slips within the Local System are valid for one hour and transfers within the Regional System are valid for two hours. Transfer slips may not be used on the same route in the opposite direction. Passengers transferring to a higher-fare service must pay the difference in fare in addition to presenting a transfer slip.
